Bible believing Churches today are in desperate need of trained Christian workers that can help their church and Pastor in carrying out the Great Commission. Pastor Paisley and Riverview Baptist Church have established a Bible Institute to allow students to graduate with an Associate Degree of Ministry. Our desire at RBBI is to prepare leaders for the work of Christ. Many of our students feel God has called them to preach and are considering pastoring a church. RBBI will provide courses to expose the student to strategies for effective management and organization in such areas as personal life, soulwinning, home life, prayer life, and philosophy of the local church. Consideration is given to the matter of core values in ministry, a Biblical philosophy of pastoral ministry and the teaching ministry for women. A study of the philosophy, preparation, and practicality of preaching is emphasized. Students have opportunities to apply what they’ve learned in actual teaching and preaching opportunities in afterschool Bible clubs, prisons and our local rescue mission. An appropriate balance between academic, spiritual, and ministry-related courses combined with the example and influence of the Riverview Baptist Church offers the student the best possible education. We desire students to enroll and complete requirements for graduation in three years so that the trained worker could be working full time ministry upon graduation. A candidate qualifying for our Associate Degree of Ministry must complete a minimum of 60 credit hours of course work. A grade of “C-” or higher must be obtained in each of the courses offered or the course will need to be retaken or have another course substituted. For those students in our Campus Institute, up to 50 credits can be transferred to the Riverview Baptist Bible Institute from other Baptist colleges. For our Online students, up to 40 credits can be transferred to the Riverview Baptist Bible Institute from other Baptist colleges. For our on-campus Associate Degree, at least 10 credits must be completed from RBBI. For our online Associate Degree, at least 20 credits must be completed from RBBI. Not all credits from other colleges will be automatically accepted. Dr. Robson will go over your transcripts and will be the final authority on which credits will be accepted at RBBI. Students transferring into our Institute and wishing credit for previously acquired courses must submit a copy of their transcripts for review. |
